Fishing/Veiði

Fishing is based on a two-week residency in the town of Seyðisfjörður in east Iceland. The work invites the viewer to turn a large wooden gear mechanism that slowly lifts a pulley system on the other side of the exhibition space, permitting the viewer to fish up pieces of grid paper from a pile.
